Registration

The registration fees of the SOE 2025 Congress are kept at a reasonable level, despite the steep rise in costs seen in recent years.  Please note that all registration fees are in euros and exclude VAT.

VAT will be applied at invoice point and may be recoverable by an institution/organisation in line with own country directives. Rates are shown in whole numbers and will be varying to two decimal places on the registration form.

The Suturing Courses and Wet Labs have limited space, advance registration is therefore recommended.  The Suturing Courses and Wet Labs are available at additional costs.

* Allied Health Professionals are required to provide a recent job certification as proof of Allied Health Status when registering.

**Residents/Trainees must be under 40 years old and provide proof of age and trainee status.  Please upload a proof of age document and also a copy of recent job certification when registering, this would be your student card, letter from your Professor or Head of Department or a copy of a recent job certification confirming your status.

*** Wet Labs / Suturing Techniques Course(s) registration is only accepted in conjunction with a registration to the SOE 2025 Congress.

Wet lab Courses – Saturday 7 June 
There are 4 Wet Lab courses organised by ISOT.
The courses will be held on Saturday, 7 June as follows:
Wet Lab 1: 08:00-09:30 – Suturing corneal+ scleral wounds
Wet Lab 2: 11:00-12:30 – Lensectomy and secondary IOL fixation in trauma eyes
Wet Lab 3: 14:15-15:45 – Iris suturing after trauma
Wet Lab 4: 16:30-18:00 – Vitrectomy and IOFB management

Suturing Techniques Course
This hands-on course offers trainees and junior doctors an opportunity to learn the core skills to perform ophthalmic suturing. The course will cover the basics of ophthalmic eye surgery, an overview of microsurgical instruments and the theory of different suturing techniques. Step-by-step video tutorials will guide the participants through their training, allowing them to thoroughly practice the different acts necessary to master ophthalmic suturing.

Each participant will have the opportunity to work at a personal workstation, fully equipped with a microscope and suturing materials. Course directors are Dr Hugo Van Cleynenbreugel and Dr Onne Creten from Belgium, assisted by several experienced instructors. Each course will be supervised by two instructors, allowing for ample time for questions and personal advice.

Course 1: 08.00 – 09.30
Course 2: 11.00 – 12.30
Course 3: 14.15 – 15:45
Course 4: 16.30 – 18.00

Suturing Courses – Monday, 9 June
Course 5: 08.00 – 09.30

The Registration Fee for the SOE 2025 Congress Includes:

 

    • Admission to the Congress and the Exhibition

    • Congress documentation

    • Daily tea/coffee

    • Opening Ceremony

Group Registrations 

Group registrations will be offered to groups of 5 persons or more. Before the start of the Congress, appointments for pre-pickup of the Congress material can be made for pre-registered groups. Confirmation Of Registration Confirmation will be sent via email upon receipt of payment. Registration for activities that are included in the registration fee will only be confirmed if booked. Please note that registration for Suturing courses and Wet Labs will be confirmed upon payment on a first-come first-served basis, and numbers are restricted. Changes, Substitutions and Cancellation of Registrations Notification of changes and cancellation must be made in writing and sent to SOE 2025 Registration Department at SOE2025registration@associationsltd.co.uk

Cancellation of registration will be accepted subject to an administration fee:-Cancellations up to and including Wednesday 30 April 2025: total amount will be refunded less a cancellation fee of 100 EUR.

 

    • Cancellations made on and after Thursday 1 May 2025, we regret that no refund can be made.

Name Changes and Substitutions If you are unable to attend, you may be substituted by a colleague.  Name changes will be subject to an administration fee: –

 

    • Changes up to and including Wednesday 30 April 2025: 100 EUR per name change.

    • Changes on and after Thursday 1 May 2025: 200 EUR per name change.
