ISOT Programme

Dear Colleagues,

We welcome you to the joint programme of the International Society of Ocular Trauma (ISOT) at SOE 2025, Lisbon this year.

With all the ongoing and potential wars in Europe and around the world, the addition of trauma talks to the SOE programme brings substantial benefit to all ophthalmologists and their patients.

The ISOT part of the ISOT/SOE joint programme offers some unique features.

These include a day of Wet Labs and Dry Labs to learn the practical aspects of eye-injury management such as how to repair an open globe injury, remove intraocular foreign bodies and perform complete intraocular reconstruction.

The dry Labs will be supported with videos on ocular trauma management, offering idea exchanges between the panelists and the audience.

The trauma posters will also have a session for discussion.

Young ophthalmologists will have their own session.

A joint meeting with the Ophthalmological Society of Ukraine will offer insight into this terrible conflict.

ISOT will announce the best video award, the best poster prize and the best young ISOT lecture award.

Please submit your abstracts for the video session, for free talks/posters, and for young ISOT below and mark it as an ISOT subspecialty session.

ISOT is very thankful to SOE for this unique opportunity and welcomes all ophthalmologists to these trauma hot topics in Lisbon in June 2025.
